EEWWWW!! Don't you hate when you go thru your old drawings and find your most ugliest drawings? I found a Cd that was unmarked and check it out. To my suprise i found art dating back to when i was about 18 years old. I look at this now and think to myself...God i've progressed. My Hard Work!!

Hey Folks, Long time no see. Well I guess you can say that i've been busy working on animation for DSX. I can begin to feel like i'm reaching closer and closer to something actually happening with this project. Altho my social life has been compromised for the advancement of this project...the pay-off has been great. I feel myself growing more as an artist and i'm becoming more comfortable with my style. As artists, no matter how good we get or people think we are, we always struggle with becoming better than what we are. I was actually afraid to do this animation. Last year i initially wanted to do an anaimation instead of a book. But i let fear and opinions dictate the way i should do things. People would tell me "Chuck it takes a full studio to do an animation, u cant do it on ur own..." or " Why bother networks and film companies wont like DSX cause of the content...do something else..." or my personal favorite, "Chuck we have a great project but we can only pay you shit money and demand the world from you, but its work and you have to take it because we have a big name and its the nature of the business..." Please...listening to all that and a few more choice statements is what drove me into Hiatus for DSx, and that is one thing this year that i regret. I did this animation out of anger and just being plain tired. Why is it that people have to go by some dumb industry standard. Why cant i express myself without being penalized and saying.."your goin outside the norm" "Things arent done this way" " You need to draw animate and kiss ass like this to get ahead"...FUCK THAT!!
I know there are somethings in this animation that could have been way better, and i know that with more money, time effort it could have been great. But i only used what i had available to my, Flash MX, iMovie, Garage Band, my Mac, and My imagination!! Its not the best animation in the world, but i'm damn proud of it! Cause i got my hands dirty, i created something, which alot of us artists have forgotten to do. So if u have a project, dont let anyone ever tell you that u cant do it, or u dont have enough resources, or its just impossible...its not. If u have the will it can be done. Please Check out my anaimation, tell me what u think, if u hated it fine if i like it even better, but i'm sharing it with you anyway...lol. Its why i think i was meant to exist.

Hey!! it's been a while since i posted anything on here. Things have been going ok. Same shit different toilet, no woman, no life, no money...hahahah. BUT, like all us artists, i have my work. Keeps me going and keeps me alive. I'm also working on very good potential projects with other people. So i decided to do a drawing dedicated to the ladies...Many of my female friends have told me how sexy they think Aza is. The meaning of 46 + 2:

According to Melchezedek, our planet is covered with geometrically constructed 'morpho genetic grids'. These grids extend from about 60 feet under the Earth's surface to about 60 miles above the Earth, arranged in geometric patterns (see 'Sacred Geometry'). Each species has its own grid, which supports life, and connects the consciousness of its particular species. Before any species can come into existance or make an evolutionary step, a new grid must be completed. When a species becomes extinct, that particular species' grid dissoves.

A new grid was completed in 1989 - the 'christ-consciousness' grid. This grid will allow humans to evolve into our next version. We'll develop two additional chromosomes (which are really 'geometrical images' designed to resonate with our specific grid) for a total or 46 + 2.

My Industrial Revolution...

Why is it that we artists are probably the worst treated interms of working for companies. We dont get proper health insurance, our jobs arent secure, we have no pention, no retirment plan. The only way these things are available to us is if WE saught them out ourselves. One day your working and the next ur dept. is cut cause of a low budget, or major companies hire u as a freelancer to work for pennies and expect the world all because they are a major company. I do all the grunt work, bust my ass and n the end i get a pat on the back and a few dollars to move on, all the while ur pockets are getting fat. In the words of Immortal Technique...."So wait a minute... you want me to go shopping, cook the food, and put it in front of you but you won't let me sit down and eat with you? The fuck is that?"

Here is what i say to all the uncreative, whiney, strongheaded, no college degree having (cause you know they got that job cause their boy works there), arrogant, money grubbing execs.... Without me, without people like me, the talented artists in this world that u use to sell ur product, YOU AINT NOTHING BUT A BAD IDEA MOTHA FUCKA...so know your place.

I sound kind of upset cause i am...i'm tired of the sorry state of the entertainment industry, from animation, to music, to movies...how many times are you gonna use the same shitty ass marketing formula. Although the USA is full of sheep, but its so bad now that even some sheep will question the shepherd. I dont wanna here the bullshit about how "we're giving the public what they want, if they didnt want it they wouldnt buy it..." Are you kidding me? You give no one variety. the radio waves and Television are overrun with mediocraty because you run it 10,000,000 times a fucking day. if its all they see, and all they hear, they have no choice but to love it.

I'm tired of artists bitching and complaining about how much they hate the industry. Everyone is complaing but too chicken shit to do anything. They are just as bad as the sheep the buy into the crap that their employer is selling to them. What's worse is the house nigga execs that sit up there and say "i hate the way things are, i wanna change things" If thats so, why are you still running programs that exploits ppl's negative aspects to make money. If that's what your job is than do that, dont bitch and scream, do what u do best and be a part of the MACHINE, and let People like me RAGE AGAINST IT!!

This isnt directed to everyone in the industry, i have friends in there and i know there are positive people trying hard to makes things happen...this is isnt directed to them. If you take any offese to what i said, then dont get mad at me, question urself as to why ur upset and why u find my words offensive. I'm just saying what everyone is thinking. I am who I am, anyone who knows me knows i dont hold my tounge.

It's been awhile. Been going thru some major changes as far as my career is concerned. I have recently learned a great deal about my self. I have learned that once you believe in something, you stick by it. I wont go into that right now because this topic deserves its own post. My Sketchbook...

You know it has occured to me that i havent bought a sketch book in Years. Why you may ask? Mostly because of modern technology. With all these new gadgets such as Wacom tablet and such, i dont need one, i can sketch forever and just delete if i dont like something, it saves alot of time, and its not as messy. But i will say, there is something missing. There is a satisfaction of putting pen to paper that you can never get from drawing into a computer.
Anywho, I havent updated in a few days, been trying to get my head straight. Have you ever gotten to a point where you must make decisions that will effect your career? Either you gamble or you dont. thats where i'm at. Its almost sickening to see that the art industry is in such a sorry and sad state. If you dont have people putting the foot on you to step ahead, your stuck with the people that stick to a mediocre formula that they think will get them quich cash or recognition. I dunno, i wish i could win the lottery and make my own standards...Hey...Ya never know...lol. Peace and Blessings. ^_^

My Main Character...

Aza Khan. Aza=Great, Khan=King. I made this character to break the mold of the main characters i usually made...the happy go-lucky Gouku type. As i Grew, i guess my taste in characters matured. Aza is the kinda guy that would seem like an asshole if u didnt know him...why would he be, you would be to if u mom and dad were killed infront of u at the age of 16. As the story progresses in DSX, so will Aza's quest to find himself and his place in the world. You'll see as the story goes on. Peace and Blessings yall!! ^_^
